Group Projects

Southlight Salon produces group projects that vary in nature and scope. However, they do share one common characteristic. They are outward facing. That is, there is an audience or community in mind.

Perhaps it’s a 3-month Photography Festival with all manner of activities (seven months to create). Sometimes a simple idea mutates and a common monthly assignment morphs into a 16-month project, resulting in the transformation of a U-Haul truck into a mobile photo gallery (Off the Page).

Then there is the Annual Book Project where each year a theme is determined, and each member has 12 months to produce a 10-page body of work (70-80 page book total).
