A Look At Robert Frank’s The Americans

Robert McCurley led a discussion of Robert Frank’s seminal work The Americans, placing it within the context of what was happening in the US in the mid-50s and comparing Frank’s images to those published in LIFE Magazine, and also to those published by Henri Cartier-Bresson in his book America In Passing. Only 11 of Frank’s images are shown in this presentation but they are more than enough to fully illustrate the America that Frank observed and how how it differs from the America on display in other publications.
