Profile: Mark Mosrie
Mark has been a commercial photographer since 1991. He specializes in food photography and environmental portraits but loves to photograph anything. Recent assignments have taken him to Colorado, North Carolina and New York. He has traveled and worked extensively in Cuba, Vietnam and India, and once sailed around the world on a ship teaching photography to college students. He is a faculty member at Nashville State Community College and The Art Institute of Tennessee-Nashville. Mark joined the Salon in December of 2010.
MOST MEMORABLE SOUTHLIGHT MOMENT
My first Southlight meeting as an official member. I had brought some photos to that meeting that I was pretty proud of. But after seeing what the others had brought and hearing the comments about their work, I quickly realized that what I had was far inferior. After the meeting, I remarked to someone, "Damn. I need to up my game if I want to be part of this crew..."
